It is with the motto “Innovation” that F.M.V. Trasmissioni Meccaniche, a historic metalworking company based in Poggibonsi, in the heart of Tuscany and exporting worldwide, will present itself at the 2022 edition of MECSPE with two innovations: a robotized cell and digital integration.
Innovate technologies, improve product quality, and add new types with heavier castings; work on series products as well as prototypes and high customization.
All this with a focus on environmental sustainability and the green sector, which is a distinctive and long-standing identity of F.M.V. Trasmissioni Meccaniche, a historic metalworking company based in Poggibonsi, in the heart of Tuscany, exporting worldwide.
A Robotized Cell for Growth
It is with the motto “Innovation” that the company will present itself at the upcoming MECSPE edition in June 2022. This spring, to enhance F.M.V.’s technological equipment, a robotized cell will be introduced, which will be introduced in the foundry with the goal of increasing both the quality and variety of productions with a greater physical weight than currently, meaning heavier alloys and castings. The robotized cell will be equipped with a robotic arm serving the foundry. Examples of products that will see improvements include pumps, compressors, and agricultural machinery. These products are destined for the international market, mainly heading for export.
Digital Integration
Another innovation is the integration of the robotized cell with the company’s digital assets, that is, with the input and output data from the production and management system, an investment linked to the initiatives carried out within the framework of Industry 4.0.
“The various actions are connected,” notes Costanza Conti, president of F.M.V. Trasmissioni Meccaniche, “and they increase both the efficiency and the production range we offer. In short, it is the competitiveness of our company that improves, our ability to meet customers’ needs. Thanks to the technologies we already have in-house and those we introduce, we can produce castings in aluminum alloys, mechanical machining of aluminum and beyond.”
In this context, another innovation arises: the collaboration with an Italian craftsman to develop a completely original bicycle. In this framework, F.M.V., embracing the project with enthusiasm and passion, produced plastic parts for the bicycle frame through removal and grinding of plastic.
«F.M.V. Trasmissioni Meccaniche is a vertically integrated company in technology that works on series production, prototypes, and special products,» concludes Costanza Conti. «We have the ability to work both on repeatability and high customization. In series production as well as in special products, we manage to convey competence and passion.»
