FMV Trasmissioni Meccaniche has joined the group Assofond, the trade association representing Italian foundry companies: a sector comprising over 1,000 companies, providing jobs to almost 30,000 people and generating approximately 7 billion euros in revenue. Founded in 1948 with the goal of developing the technological and economic know-how of its member companies, as well as promoting the rapid integration of the sector into the international economic reconstruction process that began in the years immediately following World War II, Assofond is affiliated with Confindustria and, at the international level, is a founding member of the European Foundry Association (CAEF).

Why Join Assofond?
“The variability of raw material costs at the moment pushes us to increasingly seek alliances among companies,” notes Costanza Conti Valiani, executive at FMV Trasmissioni Meccaniche, alongside her husband Sergio Valiani. “In short, it represents a good network among companies.” The association also promotes the reputation and competitiveness of Italian foundries, representing the sector in relations with institutions and economic, political, and social organizations at both national and international levels. Assofond also assists companies in their relations with authorities, communities, and institutions.
